Allens on South Congress, 1977

Allens Boots first opened its doors on South Congress Avenue in 1977. Austin was different then, the neighborhood wasn't as friendly as it is today, but even then there was a spirit brewing that couldn't be denied.

Austin's always been about good people, great music and an easy-going way that encourages people to be true to themselves. There's no better way to celebrate your own personal style than with a great pair of boots, and we've made a few good pairings over the years. WAYLON & WILLIE: Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. For over 40 years Allens has been in the business of celebrating Austin's positive sense of style and freedom with great boots. In 2019 we introduce our own line of boots for men and women, they're made from the highest quality materials and by our world-class craftsmen, designed with the spirit of our hometown.
